A number of the articles will refer to the importance of testing your wine for properties that are critical to the winemaking process; pH, Free SO2, Malic Acid, Lactic Acid, Total Acid, Residual Sugar, etc.
Not every home winemaker has the ability to measure all of these things. A beginning winemaker may be understandably daunted by the thought of having to equip for all of these measurements!
The following have proven to be very helpful for testing and advice on members’ wines; particularly with the identification of faults, etc. All charge for the testing only.
Karen Coulston - (Hills of Plenty, Yarrambat; telephone (03) 9436 2264).
